Цели урока:

  • Развивающая: преодоление посильных трудностей (лексика, связанная с историей, архитектурой и культурой; фонетика, связанная с произношением множества имен собственных ), вовлечение учащихся в совершение мыслительных процессов (ответы на вопросы, описание достопримечательностей разных стран по ключевым словам, тестирование), развитие познавательной самостоятельности (самостоятельный отбор материала по достопримечательностям Москвы), развитие памяти, развитие навыков групповой работы, организация восприятия, внимания и познавательного интереса.
  • Воспитывающая:воспитание интереса к предмету и познанию исторического и культурного материала, используя возможности английского языка.
  • Дидактическая: соблюдение принципа наглядности (рисунки чудес света – древних и современных), воспитание активности в работе учащихся, доступности в преподнесении знаний.
  • Учебно-познавательная: закрепление и контроль усвоения языкового материала в устной речи.

ХОД УРОКА

1. Организация урока: приветствие, сообщение темы и плана урока

На доске написана тема урока и представлен наглядный материал.

T: Good morning boys and girls! Today we are having a final lesson on the topic “Ancient and modern wonders of the world”.
The planet we live on is full of wonders. Unfortunately some of them haven’t been preserved and only remains have been left. Let’s look at the blackboard and recognize which of ancient wonders are depicted in the pictures. Label these wonders please and remember where they used to be located.
Pupils answer one by one.
T: Think and tell why the wonders of the ancient world seem to be concentrated around a particular region of the world.
(The answer: That was the whole known world of that age.)

T: Before having a final test let’s discuss what you know about the ancient wonders of the world. Look at the pictures on the blackboard. (One by one pupils describe the pictures for a mark).

Задание: порекомендовать поехать в столицу России, Москву и ознакомиться с ее достопримечательностями, такими как: Храм Христа Спасителя и Собор Василия Блаженного.

Каждая группа получает карточку с планом высказывания и выражениями по теме.

7. Монологическое выступление представителей каждой группы

T: Tell me please what modern wonders you can see in Moscow. It can be a cathedral, a building, a monument. Pupils answer one by one.
Now I would like you to devide into two groups. There is some project wok for you. I hope you remember all the rules of writing a report. Now its time to make a presentation of St.Basil’s Cathedral and the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour as if you are a travel agent . You have 10 minutes to prepare this task. Then one of each group will perform the presentation of these landmarks of Moscow.
