Задачи:

  • коммуникативно-практические: практиковать в аудировании, чтении, диалогической речи;
  • лексические: активизировать и расширить лексику по теме “Манеры” и “Здоровье”;
  • грамматические: употребление should, must;
  • образовательные: расширить кругозор, умение находить информацию, сопоставлять;.
  • развивающие: развитие догадки, логического мышления, памяти, познавательного интереса, самостоятельности;
  • воспитательные: воспитание взаимопомощи, товарищества, привитие здорового образа жизни.

Оснащение: магнитофон, аудиозапись, раздаточный материал, компьютерная презентация, тарелка, стакан, ложка, вилка, нож, салфетка.

План.

1. Организационный момент.

Health is very important for everybody. It depends on many things: our attitude to our body, environment, food, water and air pollution, if we go in for sport or not.

2. Divide into two groups, give names your teams and choose the captains.

3. Задания для конкурсов.

1) Manners. Употребление глагола “should” в советах. Using “should” or “shouldn’t” make these sentences more polite.

(Раздаточный материал: Sit facing the table, don't sit sideways. Keep your feet under you, don't stretch them all the way under the table.

After stirring your tea remove the spoon and place it on the saucer.

Don't use a spoon for what can be eaten with a fork.

When eating stewed fruit use your spoon to put the stones on your saucer.

Don't put your knife into your mouth. Vegetables, potatoes, macaroni are placed on your fork with the help of your knife.

Cut your meat into small pieces that can be chewed with ease. Cut off one piece at a time.

If your food is too hot don't blow on it as though you were trying to start a campfire on a damp night.

Your spoon, knife and fork are meant to eat with, they are not drumsticks and should not be banged against your plate.

Try to make as little noise as possible when eating.

Don't sip your soup as though you wanted the whole house to hear.

Don't shovel food into your mouth. Take small pieces.

Don't talk with your mouth full. First chew and then swallow.

Don't put your elbows on the table.

Don't pick your teeth in company after the meal even if tooth-picks are provided for the purpose.

And, finally, don't forget to say "thank you" for every favour or kindness.)

2) Просмотр видеоролика о том, как ребята ведут себя во время еды, и советы. Advise your schoolmates how to behave at the table.

3) Как накрывать на стол. (Один представитель с каждой команды демонстрирует и поясняет.)

4) Назвать соответствующие эквиваленты пословиц на английском языке. Give the equivalents of the following proverbs in English:

  1. Здоровье дороже богатства (Health is above wealth).
  2. По яблоку в день – и обойдешься без доктора (An apple a day keeps the doctor away).
  3. В здоровом теле – здоровый дух. (A sound mind in a sound body) и др.

5) Повторение лексики. Чтение слов:

A sore throat, a headache, a toothache, stomachache, earache, a cold, flu, a cough, a high temperature, to take medicine, a cough syrup, call a doctor, stay in bed, take vitamins.

6) Составление диалога. Make up a dialogue.

  • What’s wrong?
  • What’s the matter?
  • Are you all right?
  • I am not feeling well.
  • I’ve got (a) (terrible/really bad)…
Sympathising & giving advice Responding
  • You poor thing/ Oh no!/ Oh dear!
  • Why don’t you…?

  • Maybe I should.

Example:

A: What’s the matter?
B: I am not feeling well. I’ve got a ….
A: Oh dear! Why don’t you take …?
B: I think I will.

7) Аудирование. How to keep your teeth and gums healthy. Учащиеся заполняют бланки и сдают по 1 заполненному бланку от каждой команды.

You will hear some information about dental health. Listen and fill in the gaps.

  • Brush your teeth after every 0) meal or at least

НЛ: weight, overweight, despair, put on, gain, lose, plenty of, skip meals.

Match the words in bold with a synonym below (cut out – stopped eating, put on – gain, function – work, take up – start, copes with – manages).

10) Конкурс чтецов. Чтение стихотворения On a diet.

On a Diet
First she gave up smoking,
Then she gave up gin,
Then she gave up chocolate cake,
She wanted to be thin.

Then she gave up breakfast,
Then she gave up lunch.
On lazy Sunday mornings
She even gave up brunch.

No matter what she gave up
Her skirts were very tight.
‘Cause she ate twelve cans of tuna fish
For dinner every night.

11) Чтение текста (по учебнику Upstream Beginner, U.5). Calorie lab. Read and say what is a calorie and why we get fat. (1. A calorie is the unit by which we count the amount of energy in our food. 2. We get fat when we eat more than our body actually needs. When we get more energy than we need, our body starts to store away energy in the form of fat). (Приложение 3).

12) Составить меню на завтрак, обед и ужин для Луизы.

13) Составить меню на завтрак, обед и ужин для подростков из расчета 2700 ккал. (Teenagers 14–19 years old need: girls – 2750, boys – 3150 calories.)

4. Исполнение песни “Manners” (по учебнику Happy English.ru, 7 кл.)

5. Подведение итогов конкурса. Выcтавление оценок, вручение грамот. Дом.задание: составить меню для себя на один день с подсчетом калорийности.
