Цели и задачи:

  • Повторение изученного материала перед зачетом. Закрепление навыков аудирования.

Образовательная:

  • Организовывать обучение аудированию и употребление материала по изученной теме в речи.

Развивающие.

  • развитие навыков аудирования с целью развития речи;
  • развитие и поддержание интереса к изучаемому предмету.

Воспитательная.

  • Воспитывать у учащихся чувство прекрасного отношения к природе.

Ход урока

I. Начало урока.

Учитель начинает урок с приветствия и ситуативно обуславливает ход урока.

Т.: Hello! How are you? Ps.: Hello! Fine, thanks, and you?

Т.: I'm fine too, thank you. I guess you all will agree with me that going to the country is a great pleasure for us. On a bank of a forest, lake or a small river we can enjoy lots of activities. Now I'd like you to tell me what you usually do when you go to the country with your parents or friends. Р1, what is your idea?

Р1.: We usually play volleyball and swim.

Т.: Very nice, thanks. And you, P4?

P4.:....

Т.: Thanks, I'm very pleased with your answers. Would you like to know what an English boy Bob usually does in summer?

P.: Yes.

Т.: I invite you to listen to the story about this boy. Before we start, look at the following words. I'm sure, you've come across them already. Let's just refresh them in your memory.

Gardening - Садоводство.

Pail (через наглядность).

Terribly means the same as "very", it's even stronger. E.g. I can say: "I'm terribly tired today". It means that I'm very-very tired. Do you know what it means? P3?

Р3.: Ужасно.

Т.: You are absolutely right. You all know the verb "to swim" very well. Who can tell me its three forms?

Р5.: Swim - swam — swum.

Учитель тренирует употребление этих слов в речи, задавая вопросы.

Т.: Repeat these words after me. Thank you. Please, answer my questions using these words.

What did you like to do most of all last summer? P6, please.

Р6.: I liked to swim.

Jane's mother is fond of cooking. Do you know what her father is good at? Р2, your variant?

P2.: He is good at gardening.

What do you usually use when you water the plants in the garden?

P4, Сan you answer?

Р4.: I use a pail.

It's 25 degrees below zero today. Why are you shivering, Р6? Are you O.K.?

Р4.: I'm terribly cold.

Учитель ставит перед учащимися задачу на прослушивание текста: прослушать текст и подумать над заголовком к нему.

Т.: Well done, thanks. Let's come back to our story. This story is very unusual, it does not have either the title or the end. Look at the blackboard, here you see some titles, which I offer you for this story:

Unsuccessful Fishing
Where has the fish disappeared?
Bob and fishing
Summer in the country

So listen to the story very carefully and choose the most appropriate title or to create your own.

Listening comprehension

Bob's family has got a small but a very nice country house. The place is beautiful there. There is a forest and a lake near the house. They have got a garden with different fruit trees. Bob's father enjoys gardening. Bob and his little sister Liz often help their parents work in the garden.

Last summer the family didn't go to the sea and spent the summer in the country. Every morning Bob went to the lake to swim and to fish.

One morning, as usual, Bob went to the lake to fish. Soon his pail was full of fish. The weather was fine. The sun was high up in the sky. Bob was terribly hot. He thought: “I'll swim in the lake first before I go home. I'll take the fish home and ask Mum to cook fish soup. We all like fish soup. Mum will be happy”.

Bob swam and played in the lake for a long time.

When he got out of the water, there was no fish in the pail...

Учитель спрашивает учащихся, какой заголовок они выбрали наиболее подходящим к этой истории?

Т.: Now, what are your ideas about the title for this story? P7, have you got any ideas? Which one would you choose? Or probably you have your own one? Etc.

Учитель задает вопросы по тексту, чтобы проверить его понимание.

Т.: Now answer my questions:

- What's the boy's name?

- What does his father enjoy doing?

- What's the name of Bob's sister?

- When did Bob go to the lake?

- What was the weather like?

- Who would prepare a fish soup?

- Where did he put his fish?

Учитель предлагает учащимся интересное задание - расположить предложенные карточки в порядке событий, происходящих в тексте.

Т.: Now will you arrange these pictures according to the events of the story.

Учитель предлагает еще одно задание на проверку понимания фактов, предложенных в тексте.

Т.: Look at the list of statements and say it they are true or false according to the text.

Say if it is true or false:

1. The boy's name is Bob.
2. Bob's family lives in a town.
3. There is a small river near the house.
4. Bob's father enjoys gardening.
5. Last summer the family went to the sea.
6. One morning Bob went to the lake to fish.
7. The weather was awful.
8. Bob swam in the lake for a long time.

Следующее задание можно предварить повторным прослушиванием текста, т.к. это задание (заполнить пропуски нудными словами) достаточно трудное для младшей ступени обучения.

Т.: And now I've one more task for you. On your sheets of paper you have a number of sentences with words missing. While listening to the story once again, you are to fill in the gaps with the right words.

Fill in the gaps:

Учитель предлагает пересказать текст, используя только что заполненную карточку. Для этого он выбирает 1-2 наиболее сильных учеников.

Т.: Now try to retell the story, using the sentences you've just completed.

Учитель в качестве домашнего задания предлагает придумать окончание текста.

Т.: Still this story hasn't got the end yet. What happened there? Try to use your imagination and at home complete the story. Please, do it in written form.

Учитель подводит итоги работы учеников.
