Открытый урок был проведен в 9 классе с углубленным изучением английского языка. Учащиеся занимаются по учебнику “Matrix” - Pre – Intermediate седьмой год обучения. Видеоролик для просмотра и аудирования взят из пособия видеокурса “Video English for Schools” №63, стр.75.

Цели урока:

  1. Совершенствование лексических навыков по теме “Crimes” на уровне свободного высказывания в виде монологической и диалогической речи;
  2. Развитие умений у учащихся воспринимать иноязычный текст как источник информации; развитие умений и навыков устной речи на основе услышанного текста;
  3. Активизация имеющихся в опыте учащихся знания, полученные на уроках английского языка, или на уроках по другим предметам, из литературы, газет, телепередач по теме “Преступность”.

Оборудование: видеомагнитофон, карточки с заданиями, карточки с лексикой.

План урока:

  1. Сообщение темы и целей урока учащимся.
  2. Фронтальная работа по работе с изучаемой лексикой.
  3. Этап актуализации знаний. Беседа о причинах преступности.
  4. Развитие навыков чтения. Расстановка предложений в порядке для составления двух текстов.
  5. Этап закрепления новых знаний.
  6. Просмотр видеофильма. Развитие навыка аудирования.
  7. Работа в парах. Задание на воспроизведения прослушенного материала в виде диалога-расспроса.
  8. Подведение итогов урока.
  9. Этап информирования учащихся о домашнем задании.

Ход урока

I. Организационный момент. Определение целей урока.

Teacher: Good morning, dear pupils! Good morning, dear guests! Glad to see you. Glad to see you. I hope you are alright today and are ready to work hard at our lessen.

We continue our discussion about crimes in Great Britain and punishments. Also youll

have a chance to watch video and discuss one of the crime.

We can start now.

II. Этап закрепления лексики.

1) Teacher: And the first we are to do is – remember some words that deal with crimes.

Учитель показывает карточки со словами, ученики – называют эти слова и дают им определения.

T- speeding

P1 – It means driving at an illegal or dangerous speed;

T - pick pocketing

P2 – It means stealing things from peoples pockets or bags in public places.

III. Беседа о причинах преступности.

T: Speaking, about crimes, we can’t deny that today crime has been a growing problem all over the world. What are the reasons of this increasing?

Pupils: A great number of crimes are committed by young people. Nowadays that happens because youth suffers from total absence of goals, lack of interests and laciness.

P2: Properly crimes thrive on the easy opportunity for its committing.

P3: Some social and economic problems may give rise to youth violence/

So, often people involved with drugs are responsible for crimes such as drug- trafficking and drug related homicides.

Teacher: Which of the crimes do you consider to be the most serious? Why?

IV. Развитие навыка чтения с целью расстановки предложений текста в логической последовательности.

Работа в двух группах. Одна группа выбирает предложения для первого рассказа, другая группа – для второго рассказа.

Ученики слушают 1 раз и отвечают на вопрос:

T: Now listen to it again and try to remember all the answers. Get ready to answer to the policeman’s questions.

Второе прослушивание с детальным пониманием. Ученики запоминают вопросы и ответы и сами отвечают.

VII. Задание на воспроизведение прослушанного материала в виде диалога-расспроса.

T: For this task you are to invert a crime and make your own dialogues. There are guest ions which you have to discuss:

  1. What was the crime?
  2. Why did the person commit the crime?
  3. What happened?
  4. What kind of punishment did they get?

Possible answers:

  1. forgery
  2. for money
  3. a buyer took the picture to an art gallery – told him it was a forgery – police called – man arrested – discovered 29 other forged paintings.
  4. Twelve years in prison/

Teacher: One of you is the witness that has seen this crime and another is a policeman. And you have to show your feelings about the crime and the punishment.

VIII. Подведение итогов. Домашнее задание.

Teacher: At this lesson we have tried to study the theme of crime and punishment. I see you want to know more about laws. I liked your active work at the lesson. And now I give you homework. The task is to write an article about a crime in our country and make notes about the guest ions, that you used in the dialogues.
