- Команды выбирают капитана и представляют свое название.
- Задание: найти слова по теме “The Earth”, составить из выделенных букв новое слово:
- Our Earth is characterized by different weather in every part of it and in different seasons. In some countries it is windy and rainy, in others it is sunny and hot.
- Now I shall give the cards for both teams. You know that our planet is a dangerous place, where a lot of disasters can happen. Try to guess, what is it? When you are ready to answer, raise your card up. Who first raise the card, he will have the opportunity to answer the question. Are you ready? We begin:

Учащиеся вспоминают стихотворение вместе с учителем:
When the weather is wet
We must not fret,-
When the weather is cold
We must not scold.
When the weather is warm
We must not storm,-
But be thankful together
Whatever the weather.
Now you should do the next task concerning the weather.
Задание: подобрать противоположные по смыслу слова и вписать их в таблицу.
Команды получают звезду за правильность и быстроту выполнения данного задания.

- The last competition is gathering of the pictures (puzzles). Используются любые картинки по теме “Земля”.

На время капитаны команды пытаются подобрать пары из рамок. Количество пар слов определяет количество звезд.
