I. Организационный момент.

Teacher:

Good morning! I`m glad to see you! So the topic of our lesson is “The value of sport”. Today we are going to speak about sport.

II. Основная часть урока.

Well, what can you tell about football?

Teacher:

What can you tell about unusual sports? Well, Mick Hutton`s sport is racing pigeons. He trains pigeons and takes them away from home as part of a competition. Then the time is taken for how long it takes for the pigeons to fly back. Listen to an interview with Mick Hutton. Do you understand the text? OK. Look through the task.

Well. In the past, sports were activities that people did for fun in their free time. This has changed a lot in recent years. Open your text-book at page 49 and read about things that have changed. Now look at the task and say what happened on each date.

Teacher:

Can you give your own examples that sport closely connected with politics?
What else can you tell about sport and big business?
