Цели:

  1. Совершенствование речевых навыков (диалогическая, монологическая форма).
  2. Активизация лексических навыков.
  3. Совершенствование грамматических навыков (would + Infinitive).
  4. Обучение аудированию с целью понимания общего содержания.

Оборудование:

  • карточки с упражнениями;
  • “English”, the Berlitz Way 3;
  • магнитофон, компьютер, доска, проектор, экран;
  • упражнения с заданиями, выполненные на компьютере с помощью программы для презентаций “Power Point”.

Ход урока:

1.Организационный момент – 1 мин.

Приветствие, сообщение о теме и характере работы на данном уроке.

Teacher:

Good morning! Take your seats, please, and get ready for the lesson.

Today the theme of our lesson is “Travelling …what for?” It’s a revision lesson.

We’ve spoken a lot how to spend free time. Travelling is considered to be one of the ways

of spending holidays and it plays an important part in the entertainment of people.

2.Warming-up – 2 мин.

Для настройки учащихся на беседу по теме используются пословицы.

Teacher: To begin with let’s remember proverbs about travelling. Match two parts and translate them. Repeat it after me, please…

Every country has its customs.

There is no place like home.

The wider we roam the welcomer home.

East or West, home is best.

3.Чтение высказывания с общим охватом содержания. – 3 мин.

Teacher: There is a saying about travelling. Let’s read and translate it.

( Учащиеся пытаются перевести подчёркнутые выражения в высказывании, затем отвечают на вопрос.)

Adventure is necessary for us all. It keeps people from growing stale and old; it develops our imagination, it gives us movement and change which are necessary to our life.

Teacher: Why do people travel? Give your reasons… Now look at the scheme. Have we mentioned all the points?

Teacher:

Most people are fond of travelling abroad.

What is more pros or cons going abroad? Let’s divide them into two groups.

discover new places, miss your friends, help to become more educated person, improve knowledge of foreign language, wait at airports, depend on the weather, have to think about accommodation and food, broaden your mind, many places are polluted, teach people about art and culture, the beauty of many places has disappeared, help to relax, beaches are always overcrowded, the most fantastic place is home, meet interesting people, see world wonders

7. Совершенствование речевых навыков (диалогическая форма) – 6 мин.

Teacher: Now I want you to make up a dialogue according to the communicative task and exchange opinions with your friend. You’ve got 3 minutes to prepare your dialogue.

You and your classmate are discussing the best way of spending your summer holidays. You would like to have holidays with a difference and go abroad. But your friend thinks you’ll get the best of your holidays if you stay in your own country. Discuss the pros and cons of going abroad and come to an agreement.

Teacher: Well, your time is up. Let’s listen to your dialogues and decide which one is the best. (Учащиеся рассказывают диалоги.)

Teacher: So, whose dialogue is the best and why? (Учащиеся высказывают и аргументируют свою точку зрения. При оценке диалога используются следующие критерии: содержание, коммуникативность, произношение, лексический запас и грамматическая правильность речи.)

Teacher: Well, thank you for your dialogues.

8. Контроль домашнего задания. – 5 мин.

Teacher: Your homework was to prepare the situation “Why do you like to travel? Let’s listen to some of you.

9. Совершенствование грамматических навыков. – 3 мин.

Teacher: Now let’s improve your grammar.
