Цель:1.Формирование и развитие коммуникативных умений и навыков учащихся по иностранному языку.
2.Повышение духовно-нравственной культуры учащихся.
3.Отвлечение учащихся от негативных явлений современной жизни.
Задачи: 1. Продолжить работу по ознакомлению учащихся с англоязычными странами, их традициями и культурой.
2. Показать значимость и важность изучения английского языка в современном мире, учить общаться по теме на английском языке.
3. Интегрировать знания учащихся о героях фольклора на русском и английском языках.
4. Активизировать творческую деятельность учащихся посредством привлечения театрализованных форм обучения, информационных и игровых технологий.
Оборудование: рисунки символов Хэллоуина, компьютер и мультимедийный проектор с экраном, магнитофон и аудиозаписи песен, мини-спектакли о героях фольклора.
Ход праздника.
В зале темнота.
Звучит голос: Страшной вам ночи нечестивцы! Я надеюсь, никто из вас не ошибся, явившись в канун Дня всех святых на традиционный праздник нечистой силы. В таком случае ничему не удивляйтесь, что бы ни случилось. И тогда вы станете свидетелями события, происходящего один раз в год, события, связанного с силами тьмы.
Я – ведьма! Самая могущественная ведьма в мире! И не случайно я появилась здесь в канун Дня всех святых. Трепещите! Он грядет, торжественный и страшный День нечисти, или, как его еще называют, Хеллоуин.
Звезды ледяные на небе зажглись,
Ведьмы, черти, призраки вместе собрались.
Рассказать про страшное, сидя у камина.
Вспомнить нечисть всякую в вечер Хеллоуина

Хеллоуин - один из древнейших праздников в мире. Его история насчитывает тысячелетия, начиная от кельтского фестиваля Самхэйн, римского Дня Помоны (богини растений) и христианского "Дня всех святых". В нем странным образом сочетаются кельтская традиция чествования злых духов и христианская - поклонения всем святым.
- Празднование Хеллоуина восходит к кельтской языческой традиции в честь бога Самхаина (ирл. Samhain) – повелителя смерти и встречи нового года, который отмечался кельтами в ночь с 31 октября на 1 ноября. Кельты верили, что в эту ночь на землю приходят души мертвых и всякая нечисть. Отсюда и пошла традиция рядиться в костюмы мертвецов, ведьм, привидений и духов, символизирующих связь с загробным миром и устраивать пиршества с целью ублажения духов.
- Непосредственно Хеллоуин, как праздник, появился гораздо позже, как противостояние Католической Церкви кельтской языческой традиции и назывался All Hallows’ Even – канун Всех Святых, затем название было сокращено до Hallow E’En.
И по сей день считается, что в ночь на Хеллоуин над землей властвует темные силы, чтобы они не вредили людям, их принято всячески задабривать, устраивая карнавалы, сопровождающиеся громкими криками и буйством. В эту ночь люди предстают в образе бесов и ведут себя соответственно, чтобы обмануть духов тьмы и те не догадались, кто перед ними на самом деле.

Учитель: Today we have an unusual meeting. It is devoted to one of the English and American traditions. Do you know about Halloween? What is it? When do they celebrate this holiday? What are the main characters of this holiday? You are right!
The main aim of our meeting is to know English heroes and remember Russian heroes of famous folk fairy tales. And now let me introduced the main hero of Russian fairy tales Baba Yaga.
Baba Yaga: Hello, dear friends. I am glad to greet you at our meeting. I have
invited some
guests to our meeting and now I want to tell you about them.
We have made a show
To tell of Halloween
If you will follow closely
There’s much that can be seen
Here we see an old, old witch.
Witch: I fly abroad all night
I sit astride my broomstick;
My hat is black and tall.
Around about my shoulders
I wear an old black shawl
Now the witch has vanished
No more can she be seen
I’ve flown into the darkness
I’ll come on Halloween.
Baba Yaga: Next we see a cat so black
With tail that’s very long
Each of his four little feet
Have claws both sharp and strong
Black cats belong to Halloween.
They have for many a year
As anyone will tell you
That’s why we showed them here.
Black Cat: I am black cat. Always I was the partness of witches. Many people were afraid of black cats. Some thought cats were the spirits of the dead. Others believed that witches changed themselves into cats. All people had many superstitions about witches and cats. If they began a trip and met a black cat they turned back. A witch was in their way. The trip would turn out badly. Even today, many people do not want a black cat to cross their way.
Baba Yaga; Next, we see a Jack O’Lantern Carried by a child.
Jack O’Lantern: The eyes are large and shining
I like the way he smiled
They made him from a pumpkin
Big, and fat, and yellow
They carved him with a grinning face
He is a jolly fellow
Baba Yaga: Here’s a bat with wings so wide
He flies across the moon
Perhaps you’ll see him Halloween
You know, it’s coming soon.
Bat: Bats come out on Halloween;
They are the weirdest things.
They have small furry bodies
And hooks upon their wings.
Baba Yaga: Now we see a goblin small
His ears are flat and wide.
He likes to play a merry prank,
And then he runs to hide
Goblin: Goblins are such merry folk;
It must be fun to be one.
Baba Yaga: That’s why, in this, our show,
We arranged for you to see one.
(раздается стук в дверь)
Baba Yaga: Who is that? (voice – I am)
It seems to me this is my elder brother.
Do you know who that is?
Come in my dear brother.
Koshchey Bessmertny: I am Koshchey Bessmertny. I’ve come from the Russian fairy
tales too.
I want to help you to fight against good. Besides I want to see all the
witches and wizards happy. I want all of you to enjoy the party. I’ll be
glad if you are merry and jolly.
(появляются чертенята)
The first devil: Hallo!
The second devil: Hallo!
The first devil: Who are you?
The second devil: I am the devil of bad behavior.
The first devil: And what do you do, then?
The second devil: You see I don’t like quiet and polite children. I try to make them misbehave and they become naughty and rude.
The first devil: That’s great!
The second devil: And what about you? What are you responsible for?
The first devil: I am the devil of bad moods. I try to make people lonely and sad.
Baba Yaga: All boys and girls like to tell the scary tales. And the best time to tell these stories is at night. In the dark and the gloom, it is easy for someone listening to imagine all sorts of strange and scary things. I know one of our witches wants to tell us such story.
Witch: In a dark, dark wood, there was a dark, dark house.
And in that dark, dark house, there was a dark, dark room.
And in that dark, dark room, there was a dark, dark chest/
And in that dark, dark chest, there was a dark, dark shelf.
And on that dark, dark shelf, there was a dark, dark box.
And in that dark, dark box, there was – a Ghost.
Ghost: Have you seen the ghost of John?
Long white bones and the flesh all gone?
Ooooooooh! Wouldn’t it be chilly with no skin on?
Baba Yaga: Are you afraid?
Now, let’s see the interesting Halloween performance.
It’s name is “The witch with the golden broom”.
The main characters are:
three cats – Tom, Sam, Jenny;
three witches and Owl.
Owl: The witching hour has arrived!
You’ll soon be on a broomstick ride.
Tom (shades eyes): I think a witch is coming now!
Be polite! Let’s smile and bow.
Jenny: I’m so excited! Fit to burst!
I do hope I am chosen first!
(1st witch enters, trotting on a broom, cats bow)
1st Witch: Howdy, cats. It’s Halloween.
I’m flying off to Aberdeen
And need a cat for company.
Cats (crowding around her): Please, old witch, take me! Take me, please!
1st Witch (looks them over): You’re all nice cats, and so I find I simply can’t make up my mind.
Tom: Take Jenny Cat. It’s only right
Ladies first. That’s more polite.
1st Witch: Hop on then, Jen. It’s growing late.
I’ve haunting tricks that cannot wait.
(Jen and Witch trot off on broom. Jen smiles and waves)
Sam: Blast it, Tom! You make me burn!
Why should ladies have first turn?
Remember, some people in this nation
Believe in Women’s Liberation!
Owl: Calm down, Sam. Don’t start a spat.
I like good manners in a cat.
Sam: Owl, just button up your lip!
It wasn’t you who missed a trip.
Tom: I think another witch is coming!
A happy witch. Just hear her humming.
(2nd Witch skips in on broom. She is happily humming. Cats bow.)
2nd Witch: Lah, lah, lah. Ho, heigh, ho.
I’m flying off to Kokomo.
And need a cat for company.
Cats (crowding around her): Please, old witch, take me! Take me, please!
2nd Witch (looks them over): You both look fine. For
pity’s sake,
I can’t decide which one to take!
Tom: Another witch may not come by.
So take Sam Cat. He loves to fly.
2nd Witch: Then hop on, Sam and make it snappy. Lah, lah, lah, I feel so happy!
(Sam and 2nd Witch skip out on broom. Sam waves and smiles).
Tom: Off to Kokomo! What fun!
(sighs) Old Tom will be the only one
Not to ride a broom, I fear.
And it only happens once a year.
Owl: But you’re polite and kind and good.
You act the way that all cats should (shades eyes)
Here comes a witch! She’s young and fair.
Her brooms pure gold. Well, I declare!
(3rd Witch floats gracefully in on golden broom. Tom bows.)
3rd Witch: Good evening, Cat. I’m leaving soon
To pay a visit to the moon.
I need a cat for company.
Tom (excited): Please, fair witch, take me! Take me!
A witch upon the moon, I thought,
Was just a fairy tale we’re taught!
3rd Witch: Not many witches go, I’m told.
Just those with magic brooms of gold.
If we are kind, and never mean,
We earn gold brooms for Halloween.
Owl: Then Tom’s the perfect cat for you.
For he is kind and gentle, too.
3rd Witch: Come, Tom, ‘twill be a real delight
To share my trip with you tonight
You’ll love the silver moon and stars.
Perhaps we’ll even visit Mars.
Tom: Thank you ma’am. I’m so elated!
So glad I stepped aside and waited!
My sakes. Whoever would have guessed
That my broom ride would be the best.
(Tom and 3rd Witch exit on broom. Owl follows them)
Baba Yaga: Do you like this performance?
