This lesson is the last one on the topic “ Is the System of Social Welfare Fare?” And I hope you are ready to introduce us your project “Idea of Welfare Ugra “, now let’s begin.

T. I have set the theme of our lesson “Idea of Welfare Ugra…” and my guests and I would like to know real facts about the way Social Service System is organized in the Khanty-Mansisk Region, especially in Surgut.

As far as I know 3 groups have been doing this project for 2 weeks.

So, today our main aim is to clear up the way social service system is organized in the Region Ugra.

No doubt, you have learnt much information about welfare states in the UK, USA and RF. It goes without saying all their systems have both advantages and disadvantages.

Let’s revise all possible information.

Traditionally we should appoint leaders of our lesson. Any volunteers? Any ideas?

Nowadays the young often know nothing about the way Social Service System is organized in the Region or city. Obviously, Young Generation should have wide outlook and know the real situation of the Social Life in their country, region or city.

If I were you I would find out peculiarities of Surgut Social Security Programme, and I’d try to analyze, discuss and summarize the material.

It’s also interesting to compare the state and region social security programmes

The end product of the project is presented in the form of booklets and our presentation.

SS Sure, you can see that “The Conception of modern Health Insurance” is adopted in our city, moreover, many new technologies are available in Surgut.

SS Are you against welfare state?

SS No, I mean people should be responsible for what they have and do.

SS Further more, it’s true that we should help those who cannot help themselves. 8865 disabled people live in Surgut . The Government and local authorities provide invalidity pension and privileges for them. It’s difficult to believe but the disabled can’t find employment for which they are suited. In my opinion we should think about programmes for the disabled and do all the best helping them.

SS Besides, it’s surprising to know some facts about the unemployment in our Region. Group3 has prepared a piece of information ……

SS A few words about sources of income in our native city.

SS They are taxes and donations. One of the duties of every person is paying taxes. It should be said tax system is really complicated one. And, in fact, it’s more interesting to pay attention to Town’s expenditures. It’s worth reading!

It’s time to summarize. The Government is responsible for its state, but it’s really important to pay attention to the following measures:

Local authorities should introduce a programme to help the disabled find jobs for which they are suited

Nowadays Labour Marketing Centre should represent information about the most necessary jobs in the city or region in the Mass Media

Educational Marketing Centre should inform the young about the situation in the social, economic and educational spheres and the most sidelined professions

The young should be more attentive to the changes in the modern social and professional life in our society. Thank you for your attention!
