3. Речевая разминка

Teacher: I think the best way of organizing our today’s English lesson would be to have a nice trip to different places. The best way of travelling is imaginary travelling which develops our imagination and gives us a lot of moments of joy and pleasure. There are pictures of different ways of travelling on the blackboard: a plane, a helicopter, a train, a time machine. Which is the best way of travelling when we are going to travel to ancient times?

P.1. The best way is a …. (time machine, plane, helicopter etc.)

Teacher: Of course, it’s a time machine. The only way to imagine our travelling in a time machine is to sing a song. (cassette)

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday,
Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday.

P.1. I think, the best transport to travel to the mountains is a plane. (a train, a boat etc.)

Teacher: Right you are, a plane is the best transport to travel to the mountains, because mountains are far from the place where we live. Imagine we have just taken off and are flying over the sea / video/. Look, there are mountains with some climbers on them. Look down. <рисунок 2> Let’s land on one of the places not far from the path where the mountaineers are walking now. Let’s listen what they are speaking about.

What would you do if you found yourself on a desert island?

(Раздаточный материал на карточках: to see white sand and palm trees; to find a stream with clean water; to make a hut from coconut; to go fishing; to make a fire; to cook dinner; to sleep on the ground during the night; to dream about sitting at a big table; to dream about delicious food; to dream about meat, vegetables, fruit, cheese, bread, there is nothing to do except swim, sit in the sun, catch fish and pick coconuts; it’s so boring.)

P.1. If I found myself on a desert island I would find a stream and drink clean water. /etc/.

P.1. If I were on a desert island, I would choose a hammock because it is nice to relax under the palms. /etc/.

Lazy coconut tree.
Some folk like to go fishing
Far across the bay.
I just want to be sleeping
On the beach all day.

Like the lazy co-co-coconut
Co-co-coconut tree
Like the lazy co-co-coconut
Co-co-coconut tree
Some folk work in the jungle
Till the day is done.
I just want to be sleeping,
Sleeping in the sun.

I could be a worker
In some factory.
I just want to be happy
Under the coconut tree.
