Цели:

  1. Воспитание уважения к людям разных поколений, которые добились успеха в жизни.
  2. Применение интернет технологий как эффективное средство изучения английского языка.

Задачи урока:

  1. Описать качества характера успешного человека;
  2. Выразить свое отношение к успеху, в чем он заключается;
  3. Найти через поисковые системы и свободную энциклопедию (Википедия) в Интернете краткую информацию о различных успешных людях и заполнить карточки успеха;
  4. Научиться пользоваться при необходимости электронным переводчиком в Интернете, для работы со словами.

Оснащение урока:

  • проектор;
  • видео ролик про Музей Мадам Тюссо;
  • раздаточный материал с заданиями;
  • ПК с выходом в Интернет;
  • Презентация

Ход урока

I. Организационный момент и приветствие.

Good morning, everybody! I’m glad to see you again. I hope you are fine. Today we are going to speak about how to become famous and successful.

II. Просмотр видео ролика (Madame Tussaud’s)

Let’s watch video about Madame Tussaud’s museum where you can find many successful people from all over the world. Some people are still alive but some of them were died. (Дети просматривают ролик) Приложение 2

III. Речевая зарядка

Do you like this video? What famous people have you seen there? What are they? Would you like to be in this museum as a model? Are these people successful?

IV. Письменная работа

Write down a list of words which characterize a successful person. Share your ideas with your classmates.

Example: I believe that a successful person should be …

V. Беседа

Would you like to become a successful person? Why? Think about and say what traits of your character you should develop to become a successful person. What traits of your character would you like to get rid of?

Example: I should be more independent. I think I should be more shy.

Take this card. Your task is to find some short information about these successful people using the Internet and fill the gaps. You may use the translator - the address www.babelfish.altavista.com. (после проводится аукцион, учитель собирает у всех карточки, записывает собранную информацию, дети угадывают, кто это)

IX. Словарная работа

Open your workbook p.54 exs.5. Being famous can be both pleasant and unpleasant. Label the pictures with some phrases from the box.

X. Домашняя работа

Write down your home task. Tell your classmates about a successful person whom you respect. He/she can be a world famous person or just your relative or neighbor. Use the list of words and phrases you’ve made in Ex.9.
