Procedure

Opening:

Introduction of the material (watching a film about Wales (Headway Pre-Intermediate 2nd edition film 6 “Wales”)

Main Part:

1. Working with the map

• introducing the map of Wales
• defining the places they see on the screen
• filling in the table about the geography of Wales
• Mini Test

2. Searching for definite information

• scanning the story about Wales
• matching the paragraphs of the text with the headings
• organizing the received information in the form of the table

3. Presentation of the students' projects about Russia's history and its culture

4. Group activity. Presentation of received information about similarities and differences between Russia and Wales

Closing:

• Students' assessment
• summarizing the information learned at the lesson
