В последние годы активно развивается школьное театральное движение. Зачем школе театр? Он помогает учащимся самореализовываться, пробовать себя в роли актеров, изучать литературные произведения не просто в классе на уроке, а погружаясь в их содержание во время его постановки на сцене.
Данная методическая разработка является сценарием театральной постановки на английском языке "The Little Match Girl" по мотивам произведения «Девочка со спичками» Г.Х.Андерсена для постановки на сцене школьного театра в начальной школе и может представлять интерес для учителей английского языка при проведении предметных недель и внеклассных мероприятий.

(1 ангел украшает ёлку, в это время радостно вбегает, подпрыгивая, маленький ангел)
THE LITTLE ANGEL: Christmas! Christmas is in the air! It's time to do something good! Hooray! At last I am flying to the Earth! Everyone will be happy!
THE ANGEL: (вздыхая) It's a pity but not all the people are happy….
THE LITTLE ANGEL: Sorry… I can't understand you …( в растерянности смотрит на другого ангела)
THE ANGEL: (грустно) Look here, my dear Angel … (подводит к занавесу Ангела и показывает, что происходит на земле)
It is a cold and snowy Christmas Eve. The people are passing by in their warm coats, gloves, scarves and boots. Some people are in a hurry to get home to celebrate Christmas.
THE WOMAN IN THE STREET: Mr. Black, nice to see you. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
THE MAN IN THE STREET: Mrs. White, the same to you and your family. May all your dreams come true!
(2 детей бегают и играют в снежки на улице)
THE CHILD IN THE STREET (1): Not so fast! Now it's my turn! Run! Be quick!
THE ANGEL: Everybody is merry and happy (показывает на девочку) except that little girl with a box. Her clothes are light and ripped. Her shoes don't fit her. They are too big.
THE LITTLE ANGEL: And what is there in her box?
Matches. She is selling matches shivering from the freezing cold.
THE MATCH GIRL: (уставшим, ослабленным голосом)
Matches! Matches! Buy some matches!
THE ANGEL: But nobody wants to buy matches.
(Мальчики бегут и сбивают ее с ног. Девочка падает, коробка падает, туфли отлетают в сторону. Она вскрикивает)
THE MATCH GIRL: Oh, my! (вздыхая)
THE CHILD IN THE STREET (1):Watch out!
THE CHILD IN THE STREET (2): Let's take her shoes. (Хватает ее туфли и убегает)
THE ANGEL: The snow is falling down... Her feet are freezing…
THE MATCH GIRL: Matches! Matches! Buy some matches! Please buy some matches!
THE ANGEL: But no one buys any matches. It is getting dark. There is nobody in the street.
THE MATCH GIRL: (девочка заглядывает в окно дома)
What a beautiful Christmas tree!
Звучит песня Carols of the Bell. (первые 30 секунд)
THE ANGEL: The match girl hears the carols from the house. It is warm and nice in the room. There is a little boy in the house. He looks warm. He is hugging his present, a big box of sweets.
THE MATCH GIRL (с грустью) He is so lucky.
(садится на ступеньки, достаёт и зажигает спичку) It is freezing. I will light a match.
THE ANGEL: There is a small flame. And the fire goes out soon. The girl lights another match. She sees food in the flames. (на экране слайд с семейным ужином на столе c большим количеством еды, или помощник показывает плакат с едой)
THE MATCH GIRL: Wow! I want to eat all this food! (с голодным взглядом, поглаживая живот)
THE ANGEL: But this fire goes out soon too. The girl lights another match.
THE LITTLE ANGEL: What will she see this time?
THE ANGEL: People she loves… She is listening to the song. The song from her childhood. She was happy then. (тяжело вздыхает)
(Звучит песня из мультфильма «Анастасия» "Onceupona December", на сцене появляются дети, которые поют, мальчик приглашает девочку на вальс)
THE LITTLE ANGEL: And now? What does she see now?
THE ANGEL: Nothing… She will sleep forever… She is dying…
THE LITTLE ANGEL: Oh, no, I won't let her die! It's unfair!
THE ANGEL: Well, my dear Angel, people's happiness often depends on the hearts. They can be full of love or be indifferent…
THE LITTLE ANGEL: I see! It's my turn to change the world for the better! (бежит к домику, стучит в дверь и убегает)
THE BOY: Mum, Dad, look out! There is somebody on our stairs.
MUM (обнимая девочку): Oh, my dear! What are you doing here? Where are your parents?
THE MATCH GIRL: They died. I miss them so much. I live with my stepmother. Every day she wants me to sell matches to earn money. But I can't sell any matches today. I can't go home.
DAD: Poor girl. We can be your new family. Would you like to live with us in our big warm house?
THE MATCH GIRL: Oh, with great pleasure! It's the best present I've ever had in my life! I am so happy! Thank you very much!
MUM AND DAD (обнимают девочку):
Having a daughter is our dream. You are the best present we've ever had in our life. We are happy!
