Цель: закрепление изученного материала по теме “Достопримечательности Лондона”.

Задачи:

  • развитие у учащихся речевых умений аудирования, говорения и диалогической речи;
  • воспитание культуры общения, интереса к изучению иностранного языка, потребности в практическом использовании языка;
  • развитие умений участвовать в общении в связи с предъявленной ситуацией, обучение употреблению этикетных форм общения.

Оснащение урока:

  • Компьютер, проектор с экраном, магнитофонная запись песни.
  • Микрофон для корреспондента, шапочка для продавца, платок для предсказательницы.

Ход урока

1. Вступительная часть.

1. Вокзал в Лондоне.

Дети заходят в класс-“вокзал”. Их встречает предсказательница судьбы.

Fortune-teller: Hello, I am a fortune-teller. And you are from Russia, are not you?

Do you want to know your future?

Pupil 1: Sure, Pupil 2: Certainly, Pupil 3: With pleasure…

P1: Shall we see the English queen?

F: No, she is not in London.

P2: I want to be a singer. Will my dreams come true?

F: Yes, but you should work hard.

P3: Shall I be the president of Russia?

F: May be, you should learn better.

P4: Where can we meet Prince Charles?

F: You can meet him in Buckingham Palace.

2. Встреча с гидом, знакомство, приветствие.

Гид – учитель показывает плакат, где написано:

The group of schoolboys from Russia

P5: Excuse me, I think, you are meeting us.

T: Good morning, I am pleased to welcome you in London. I am Alice Adams (на груди – бейджик с именем)

P5: Nice to meet you. I am…. . These are my friends.

T: Glad to meet you. Now, we shall go London sightseeing tour. Where is our double- decker? Oh, here it is (cлайд 2). Would you like to travel by a double- decker?

T: Well, also, my friends sit down, please. (Дети усаживаются)

2. Основная часть.

1. Обсуждение планов пребывания в Лондоне.

T: Let’s discuss, what places of interest we shall visit here in London and how we shall spend our free time. What are your opinions? Look at the table, read and translate at first (слайд 3).

T: What are your opinions? What place of interest would you like to see? (дети по очереди высказывают свое мнение, желание)

2. Поездка по Лондону (гид рассказывает, дети задают вопросы по ходу рассказа)

T: Thank you! Good of you! Also, let’s start!

– I welcome you to London. London is one of the largest cities in the word. About seven million people live here. London is more than two thousand years old. London’s most famous sights are Big Ben, Tower Bridge and the Houses of Parliament, Trafalgar Square and Nelson Column, St. Paul’s Cathedral and Westminster Abbey (слайд 4).

– We start from Trafalgar Square. On the column in the centre there is a statue of Admiral Nelson, who had to fight the French at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. To the left of us you can see the National Gallery (слайд 5). It has a fine collection of European paintings.

– Now we are coming to Piccadilly Circus (слайд 6). It is the meeting point of six streets.

P1: Excuse me, Miss Adams.

T: Yes. P1: May I ask you a question? T: Please, yes.

P1: What is that statue in the centre of Piccadilly Circus?

T: It is Eros. (Это Эрот – крылатая статуя бога любви)

P1: Thank you.

T: We have just passed Piccadilly Circus and now we are making our way to Buckingham Palace (слайд 7).

– Now we are at Buckingham Palace.

P2: Excuse me, may I ask you a question?

T: Please!

P2: What is that large building?

T: It is the London Home of the Queen.

P3: When was it built?

T: It was built in the 18th century.

T: In front of you can see the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben (слайд 8). The Houses of Parliament is the seat of the British government. Big Ben is one of the most famous clocks in the world.

P4: Excuse me, when was the Houses of Parliament built?

T: It was built in 1840–1852.

T: In a moment you will see Westminster Abbey. It is a royal church.

– Now we are crossing Tower Bridge over the river Thames. From here you can see the Tower of London (слайд 9). It was a fortress, a royal palace and later a prison.

– Excuse me, is it a museum now?

T: Yes, it is a museum now. There are a lot of interesting collections in the Tower of London.

T: Earlier in our travel we saw a famous royal church Westminster Abbey. Now we are marking our way to the second famous church, St. Paul’s Cathedral (слайд 10). It is the greatest work of the architect sir Christopher Wren.

– Now we are going along Fleet Street to the Strand. On the right you will see Covent Garden (слайд 11). It was a big fruit and vegetable market. It is now a tourist shopping centre with cafes and restraints.

– We shall stop here. So you can go shopping. You have some free time. Would you like to buy some souvenirs for your parents, your friends?

3. В супермаркете. (1 турист – школьник выбирает для друга подарок, обсуждает с продавцом) (слайд 12).

P1: Good morning. Shop-assistant: Good morning, can I help you?

P1: Yes, you can. I would like to buy a present for my friend.

Sh: What is the hobby of your friend?

P1: He goes in for sports.

Sh: What is his favourite sport?

P1: He plays football and basketball.

Sh: Well. I think this ball will be a good present for your friend.

P1: I agree with you. Thank you very much. You are very kind.

4. В пиццерии. (3 туриста-школьника заходят в пиццерию, обсуждают меню) (слайд 13)

P1: There is a nice pizzeria, let’s come in!

P2: Let’s have a pig pizza!

P3: That’s a good idea! I’m hungry!

P1: What kind of pizza do you want? Look us at the menu. You see. There are a lot of different pizzas.

P2: Let’s have a Neptune.

P3: Is there any fish in it?

P2: Yes, there is cheese, tomatoes, spinach and fish in it.

P3: I’m sorry, I can’t have it. I’m allergic to fish.

P1: OK, let’s have a Corsicana. There is no fish in it.

P2, P3: We are agree with you. It’s very nice.

5. Встреча с корреспондентом.

T: Have you rested? Well. Now we have a visitor. Introduce yourself. (Слайд 14)

Reporter: Hello! How do you do? Nice to meet you. My name is Richard Dawson. I am a reporter from BBC. May I ask you questions?

R: (ходит по рядам, задает вопросы, ученики отвечают) How are you? What is your name? What is your surname? How old are you? Where are you from? What nationality are you? What is your hobby? What is your favorite sport? What is your family? What does your father do? What does your mother work? Who knows English in your family? Do you like music? Do you like reading books? Do you like London? Is London beautiful? What do you like in London the most?

R: Thank you very much. This packet is for you (дает конверт учителю).

6. Выполнение теста (контроль усвоения страноведческого материала)

Т: Что же это такое? Посмотрим… Это тест. Значит, этот корреспондент хочет еще больше узнать о вас, еще раз проверить, хорошо ли вы знаете Лондон. Может он хочет целую передачу сделать о вас. Давайте, выполним этот тест. (Слайд 15)

Вы читаете эти предложения и думаете, правда (true ) или неправда (false ) и потом пишете на листочках.(учитель раздает листы, где дети пишут “true”,”false”)

T: Do you understand everything? Well, let’s begin!

Т: Change your work and compare (слайд 16)

T: How did you score? Сколько вы набрали баллов? At first, let’s translate! (Слайд 17)

Т: Who is a genius? (Спрашивает баллы и оценивает)

3. Заключительная часть.

T: Very well! I am very pleased with your work! Now, I am sure, that you know London very well.

Our travel has finished. But, I invite you to the concert. Look at this poster (слайд 18). This concert is devoted to the famous group “The Beatles”. The concert will be this evening. Do you know the sing “Yesterday”?

Ps: Yes!!

T: Really? Well, also let’s sing! (Учитель включает запись, дети все вместе поют.)

T: Our trip has finished. I hope very much that you have enjoyed this trip of London. Thank you and see you later! Have a good day! Good-bye! (Слайд 19)
