Постановка проблемы

T: Guys, I think you’ll agree with me, that people like visiting concerts, seeing their favourite singers and listening to them. Very often people get an invitation to the concert and they can choose to go or not. Today we’ll discuss how a person can invite his or her friend to the concert.

Предъявление и анализ образцовых диалогов

T: First of all let’s listen to the dialogue between Kate and Tom. Tom has two tickets for the concert and he wants to invite Kate. Please listen to it and be ready to say if Kate agreed with Tom.

  • Hi, Kate. How are you?
  • Not bad, thanks. How is your mood?
  • Fine. Kate, I have two tickets for the concert. Let’s go together?
  • What sort of concert?
  • Jazz.
  • Oh, jazz. I don’t know. I don’t prefer listening to jazz.
  • Why? Jazz is catchy and fascinating music. Of course, many people think that jazz is foolish and appalling.,,
  • And I agree with them.
  • But it’s wrong!
  • As for me, I enjoy listening to pop. To my mind, it’s sweet and soft.
  • You see, Kate, I’m sure your taste on music will change. You’ll adore jazz.
  • OK. You persuaded me. I’ll go.
  • See you at five p.m.

T: Answer my questions.

T: Did Kate agree to go to the concert?

P: Yes, she did.

T: What sort of concert will friends go?

P: Friends will go to the jazz concert.

T: What is Kate’s attitude to jazz?

T: How does Tom persuade her?

P: Tom says that jazz is catchy and fascinating music.

T: What phrases does Tom use? Search for them.

P: It’s wrong!

You’ll adore!

Your taste in music will change.

T: OK. You are the best.

Now look at these pictures. Match the pictures and the conversations. (приложение 1)

Беседа учеников в диалогах. Работа со строго детерминированной опорой.

T: And now it’s high time to discuss how people can invite their friends to the concert. Let’s draw a dialogue chart which will help you to imagine what conversation might take place between the characters of your situations. (приложение 2)

T: What does a person give to another person just to go to the concert?

P: Tickets.

T: Yes, but what else?

P: He gives an invitation.

T: Of course. What does another person answer?

P: He says if he likes or dislikes this or that concert.

T: What does the first person say?

P: He expresses agreeing or disagreeing.

T: What does the second person say?

P: Either he agrees or not.

T: Yes, you are right. Now make conversations with each other. There are cards with situations. You have 5 minutes to be ready. (приложение 3)

Are you ready? Well done. Listen to Ann and Stas. Be ready to say if Ann would go to the concert.

  • Hi, Ann. How are you?
  • I’m fine, and you.
  • I’m O’K. Let’s go to Butusov’s concert.
  • Oh, I don’t want. I’m going to Smash’s one. And I don’t like Butusov.
  • Ann, let’s go to Butusov’s concert tonight. And tomorrowwe’ll go to Smash’s one.
  • But tomorrow I’ll go to my sister.
  • But, Ann, please. You know how I like Butusov’s music.
  • I know. But a month ago you promised that we would go to the concert which I would choose. But you deceived me. So tonight, I’ll go to Smash’s concert. And you may choose to go with me or not.
  • O’K. I’ll go with you.

T: OK. It turned out that Ann persuaded Stas to go with her. So did Stas agree to go with Ann?

P: Yes, he agreed.
