Цели и задачи урока.
Учебные: активизация и закрепление ЛЕ по теме « Выбор профессии » и презентация проектных работ; развитие навыков аудирования;
развивающие: развитие навыков устной речи и навыков обсуждения и обобщения проектных работ; развитие навыков аудирования; развитие умений использовать полученные знания на практике;
воспитательные: развитие критического мышления учащихся, помощь в формировании и воспитании чувства ответственности к выбору профессии.
Оснащение урока: аудиозапись;
раздаточный материал; видеозапись: доска.
1. Организационная часть урока (приветствие, постановка задач урока)
T.: Good morning, everybody! Glad to see you here. Sit down, please, and let’start.
The subject of our lesson today is “ Choosing a Career: the World of Jobs”.
Тема урока написана на доске.
2. Основная часть урока.
1. Фонетическая зарядка.
Let’s start our lesson as usual with phonetic drill. Work is an important part of many peoples Lives. There are some proverbs about work (см. Приложение 1).

2. Речевая зарядка.
T. I’d like you to define the words “a career ”,”a job”,” a profession”,”an occupation”.
P.P. Предполагаемые ответы :
A career is the series of jobs that a person does in his or her life usually in one and the same field.
A profession is a job that requires special training, often a university education and brings a rather high social status.
An occupation is a job or a profession.
T. That’s right. In Britain the youngest age you can leave school and get a full-time job , a regular job is 16. Of course, you can get a part- time job, odd jobs at the age of 13. The law allows them to work at the age of 13 but only two hours a day on school days. Who can explain the difference between a full-time job and part-time job?

A full-time job means that you can work for all the hours of the working week ( usually about 40)
A part-time job means that you can work for only some hours of the working week ( usually about 20 ).
T. There are a lot of professions and jobs to choose from. Now let’s play our game “ What’s mind jobs”. Define a job and we’ll try to guess. (см. Приложение).

T. Different jobs can require special qualities. Complete the information for № 1-5 in the table.

T. Well done! Now complete as much information as you can for № 6-9 by listening to the tape. (Текст для аудирования можно подобрать самостоятельно).
Guess the jobs of each speaker and write them in the table.

T. Now let’s compare your answers.Look at the special qualities in column C and decide what Qualities you need for jobs 1-9. You can use the words more than add your own ideas.

4.Проверка домашнего задания. Презентация проектов. Развитие навыков устной речи по теме.
T. Your homework for today is your projects. Let’s compare findings from your surveys taken among the teenagers of our gym and on the other hand among their parents.

Обсуждают результаты проекта. Учитель должен быть готов помочь учащимся в обсуждении проекта (см. Приложение 4).
T. The second group has held an opinion poll among teenagers and pupils in the elementary school.

T. Masha has prepared a very interesting material from the magazine “7 Days”.
(Ученица приготовила свой собственный проект по материалам журнала «7 дней» о том, кем хотели стать и кем работали в молодости известные актеры, певцы, политические деятели).
3. Заключительная часть урока (рефлексия, оценка, домашнее задание).
T. Now I’d like you to answer our topical question. Is it easy to choose a job for life? Should we think hard while choosing a career?
