5. Видеосюжет

На данном этапе урока с целью проверки усвоения изученной лексики по данной теме был использован видеосюжет. Учащимся предлагалось сначала прослушать и просмотреть видеосюжет диалога, а затем при повторном просмотре заполнить пропуски. При выполнении данного задания был использован текстовый этап работы с видеотекстами.

Great Britain

Great Britain is the name for largest of the islands in the British Isles. It includes England, Scotland and Wales. It does not include Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland.

The United Kingdom or UK is a political term which includes England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Everybody from the UK is British. People from England are English. People from Wales think of themselves as Welsh, people from Scotland as Scottish, people from Northern Ireland as either British or Irish.

Britain is split up into counties. Each county has its own local government, which is responsible for such things as education, housing, town planning, rubbish disposal.

Britain is constitutional monarchy. The monarch, at the moment Queen Elizabeth II, is the Head of State. The Queen is also head of the judiciary (all the judges) and of the Church of England, as well as the Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces. Her face is on all British bank notes, coins and postage stamps.

The Queen's role, however, is mainly symbolic. True power lies in the hands of the Prime Minister and his or her Cabinet. The Queen is head of the Commonwealth (a group of former and presentday British colonies).

The British Parliament has two houses or chambers: the House of Commons and the House of Lords. The House of Commons is the most powerful and decides national policy, but the House of Lords can ask the House of Commons to rewrite certain parts of a bill before it becomes a new law. There are 651 Members of Parliament, or seats, in the House of Commons. In 1994, there were only 59 women Mps. Each MP is elected by voters in one region.

The 1203 members of the House of Lords are not elected. Some are life peers: they are members of the House of Lords, but their sons or daughters cannot be members. Life peers are usually former members of the House of Commons. There are also a number of judges or bishops. The majority, however, are hereditary peers, the heads of aristocratic families.

Every five years, British people over the age of 18 can vote in a general election. People vote for the candidate they want in their constituency (region).

The two main parties in Britain are Labour Party and Conservative Party.

III. Изложение нового материала.

На данном этапе было предложено просмотреть видеосюжеты о достопримечательностях Лондона для первичного восприятия.

Путешествие по Лондону.

  3. Просмотр сюжета "Tower Bridge"
  4. Просмотр сюжета "The Tower of London"

  7. Просмотр сюжета "London's Parks"

IV. Закрепление изученного материала. Ответы на вопросы с попутным просмотром видеосюжетов.

На данном этапе была проведена работа по проверке усвоения просмотренных сюжетов. Каждый из сюжетов был просмотрен вторично в отдельности и попутно велась работа по проверке восприятия видеосюжета с использованием вопросов и заданий.

Домашнее задание (Рассказать об одной из достопримечательности Лондона.

Вывод:

На данных этапах уроков можно было проследить, что использование видеосюжетов помогает лучшему усвоению материала, вызывает интерес к обучению, способствует развитию навыков аудирования и говорения. С помощью видеосюжетов можно не только изучать новый материал, но и проверять уровень усвоения изучаемого материала, развивать устную речь, понимать иностранную речь на слух.
